Well, first let me say, I am Robert Hunter and I am so grateful that you stopped by.

Okay, about me, the quick and easy version.

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio, and it was there that I picked up a camera for the first time. My parents purchased a Polaroid camera sometime in the early 80’s and at the tender age of four, after begging and begging, I took my first photograph and I was completely fascinated!

In 1996, I moved to Tallahassee, Florida, to attend college. In 2009, I purchased my first professional camera and took several online photography courses. In 2012, I started Robert Hunter Photography.

The company was a side gig to my career at the Florida Legislature, which started in 2004. However, in 2017, I traded in my spreadsheets, bill tracking reports, and bill analyses templates and I became one of the staff photographers for the Florida House of Representatives and served in that position until late 2021.

I am still enjoying being behind the camera here at my own company in addition to working in the Office of Information Technology for the Florida House of Representatives.
